180 Storefronts
“Since its opening at 51 Prince street till today at the 97 Kenmare, Storefront has held a total number of 180 exhibitions, in a maximum of 8-9 exhibitions per year.
Three main stages have been used in the history of the gallery:
The first one opened in 51 Prince from 1982 to 1985 with a total number of 25 exhibitions.
The second one at 97 Kenmare with its blind street elevation from 1986 to 1993 with a total of 46, and finally the actual versión, in the same location but redesigned by Aconcci/Holl with a total number of 109 exhibitions till this date.
The drawing shows every single of this 180 exhibitions in its specific location,accumulating them in stories year by year, representing an architectural image as a reflection of the immaterial accumulation of content”.
